Acoustics Movable Partition

Acoustics Movable Partition

The Pattern 125 movable partition wall system consists of individual partition panels mounted on a ceiling track, allowing them to slide smoothly along the track. These movable partition walls are highly versatile and commonly used in hotels, shops, exhibition centers, colleges, clubs, art centers, offices, schools, and sports centers.

Structure of Pattern 125 Movable Soundproof Partition Wall:

  • Panel Thickness: The nominal thickness is 120mm.
  • Panel Frame: Made from construction-grade aluminum alloy for durability.
  • Surface Panels: Available in 12mm thick MDF board, particle board, or gypsum board.
  • Soundproofing: Acoustic performance varies based on the infill and surface materials, designed to meet specific STC (Sound Transmission Class) requirements.

Movable Partition Wall Suspension Systems:

  • Track System: Constructed from construction-grade aluminum alloy.
  • Suspension: Each panel is equipped with vertical metal bearing wheels for smooth movement along the track.
  • Track Crossings: Customizable to meet specific design requirements.
  • Suspension Options: Available in single or dual panel configurations to accommodate different parking layouts.

Technical Description of Movable Partition Walls:

Movable wall systems consist of four main modules:

  1. Start Panel: Mounted to the wall and serves as the anchor point for the rest of the system.
  2. Standard Panel: These panels form the majority of the partition system and are generally 100mm or 120mm thick, with MDF or chipboard surfaces. Optional glass or jalousie glass modules can be integrated.
  3. Telescopic Panel: The last panel in the system, which helps close any remaining gaps by compressing a piece that moves vertically.
  4. Door Module: Integrated into the standard panel for access between the separated spaces. Can be single or double-leaf.

Purpose of Using Movable Partitions:

Movable partitions are designed to make spaces with fixed walls more flexible and efficient. The rising costs of construction globally have led to an increased demand for flexible spaces, and movable wall systems provide an ideal solution for efficiently using available space. They are widely used in venues such as conference centers, meeting rooms, wedding halls, and event spaces.

Classification of Movable Partition Walls:

Movable partition walls can be classified based on their movement and surface finishes.

  1. Based on Movement:

    • Movable Partition Walls: Each panel moves independently, suspended on a ceiling rail.
    • Folding Partition Walls: Panels are connected by hinges and move together in a Z-shape. Ideal for smaller openings.
  2. Based on Source of Movement:

    • Manual Movable Walls: Panels are moved manually, and sound insulation guillotines are controlled manually.
    • Semi-Automatic Movable Walls: Panels move manually, but the sound insulation guillotines are operated automatically.
    • Fully Automatic Movable Walls: Panels and guillotines are fully automated (not commonly produced due to high costs).
  3. Based on Surface Coatings:

    • Wooden Movable Partition Walls: Available with MDF, chipboard, or wood veneer surfaces.
    • Acoustic Movable Partition Walls: Panels are covered with acoustic wood elements for soundproofing.
    • Fabric-Covered Movable Partition Walls: Acoustic fabric is applied over wooden surfaces.
    • Movable Glazed Partition Walls: Glass modules are integrated into wooden-clad systems.
    • Movable Glass Partition Walls: Consist of only glass and aluminum frames.

Main Features of Movable Partition Walls:

  • Movable walls operate on ceiling tracks, requiring no floor guides.
  • Can be used in both new and old buildings.
  • Integrated doors allow easy access between separated spaces.
  • Surface coatings can include wood, fabric, glass, and more, ensuring compatibility with room aesthetics.
  • Manufactured with CNC technology, offering high precision and surface transition options.
  • Easy to use and maintain with minimal training.
  • Panels can be parked inside or outside the space when not in use.
  • Acoustic components ensure soundproofing and privacy.
  • Movable partitions offer cost-effective, flexible space utilization, enhancing profitability for various businesses.
